Eye Specs on Main is the first and only optical boutique in downtown Fort Wayne, providing patients with a modern eye care experience. Optical stylists offer a high-quality selection of eyeglass frames and lenses as well as the latest in contact lenses for adults and children. In addition to routine eye exam services, the staff performs eye disease diagnosis and management, eye emergency care, myopia control in children, and laser eye surgery co-management.
“We hope to be the eyewear destination and the leader in eye care in Fort Wayne,” Khan said.
Dr. Khan is a longtime local business owner; in 2004 he opened Fort Wayne Vision Associates, a company he still owns and operates. He and his wife, Hajira, also own and operate Kiddie Academy, an educational childcare center with two Fort Wayne locations.
A Chicago native, Dr. Khan is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and the Illinois College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association and is extremely active in the Fort Wayne community. His work in the community includes serving on several boards, raising funds for women’s health initiatives as a guest chef for the Parkview Foundation’s Cookin’ Men event, working as a volunteer eye doctor at Matthew 25 Health Clinic, and more.
The public is invited to this celebration, which is scheduled to run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Nov. 9. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees will be invited to tour the space, enjoy light refreshments, and enter to win door prizes.
