UPDATE (March 17, 2022):
COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The Ohio Supreme Court is once again rejecting congressional and legislative district maps on grounds of alleged political gerrymandering by Republicans.
The court issued the ruling yesterday ordering the state’s Redistricting Commission to provide another revised map.
The further delay puts additional strain on Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose to prepare for the primary election slated for May 3rd.
The latest court order requires the commission to submit a map that can be approved and provided to LaRose by March 28th.

ORIGINAL STORY (February 2022):
COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The Ohio Supreme Court is rejecting new congressional district maps for the second time.
The court ruled yesterday that the re-drawn maps approved by state legislators on January 22nd are invalid after a legal challenge by the League of Women Voters.
A new deadline for revised maps is now set for 9:00 a.m. on February 17th. Individuals or groups who have further legal objections will have until February 20th to submit them to the court.
