DELPHI, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana State Police is not explaining why investigators back in 2017 said Ronald Logan was not a suspect in the Delphi murders when a newly unearthed FBI search warrant named him as the likely killer.
Logan was never publicly named a suspect, or arrested for the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German even though they were found near his property. He died back in 2020.
In 2017, the State Police said Logan was arrested on a probation violation. Troopers said reports that he was connected to the murder were false.
Three days later, the FBI wrote in its search warrant that investigators believed Logan killed the two girls and ‘moved and staged’ their bodies.

DELPHI, Ind. (ADAMS) – A search warrant request from March 17th of 2017 is shedding new light on the Delphi murders.
The Murder Sheet podcast obtained the court documents in connection to the deaths of 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German in Delphi in February of 2017.
The search warrant is a request from an FBI agent to search the home of Ronald Logan, the man on whose property the girls’ bodies were located. In the documents, the FBI agent says a piece of one of the victim’s clothes was missing and that the girls’ bodies had been found staged.
The agent also confirms that the video taken by Libby German was 43 seconds long – only the portion in which you can hear a man say “guys, down the hill” has been released.
