FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say that a man died in a single-vehicle crash near Kreager Park Friday night, just before 8:30 p.m.,
police responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Shordon and Long roads, which is just north of Kreager Park.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle upside down with severe damage at the intersection of Shordon and Long.
Witnesses at the scene stated that the vehicle was heading south on Long Road when it struck a pole and rolled several times.
The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The FWPD reported that speed is believed to be a factor.

On Friday June 16th 2023 at approximately 2026 Hrs Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of Shordon and Long regarding a single-vehicle crash.
Witnesses stated a vehicle traveling southbound struck a power pole and rolled several times. On scene officers observed a single vehicle upside down and severely damage.
The male adult driver, and sole occupant sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene. Speed was believed to be a factor.
This incident remains under investigation with the Fatal Accident Crash Team and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
