FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says it is investigating a crash involving a Fort Wayne Fire Department vehicle.
The driver of a passenger car is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, according to officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department.
It happened in the 2000 block of N. Phoenix Parkway and E. Tillman Road just before 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
Police say when officers arrived, they found a man who suffered from non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a non-life-threatening crash that occurred at approximately 3:53PM August 5th, 2023 N Phoenix Pkwy & E Tillman Rd. Preliminary information indicated a crash occurred between a passenger vehicle and a FWFD vehicle and the driver was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
Officers arrived in the area and located an adult male, who suffered injury. He was rendered aid on scene and transported to a local hospital, where medical staff advised his injuries were non-life-threatening. The crash and potential OWI is still under investigation by FWPD.
