GRANT CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Lucas Wiemer has turned himself in on several charges for allegedly driving drunk and killing a man on Interstate 69 in March.
Wiemer is facing charges that include reckless homicide in the death of 45-year-old Joseph Kidwell, whose wife and another person were hospitalized in Fort Wayne for serious injuries.
Police have not said if the suspect was the other person who was hospitalized. He turned himself in on Monday evening, and his initial court hearing is scheduled to be held today.
