FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Friday, June 19, all adoption fees at Humane Fort Wayne will be completely fee-waived during the “Love’s On Us” adoption event.
The event will take place at the Humane Fort Wayne shelter, located at the Sharon Bodenhafer Critter Center (901 St. Francis Dr.) from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
More than 40 adoptable cats, dogs, puppies and kittens will be looking for their forever homes during the event.
In addition to waived adoption fees, all families will go home with a special goody bag provided by Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES).
Potential adopters should remember the following tips:
- Submit your application now – adoptions are on a first come, first served basis for pre-approved adopters.
- All human members of your household must be present to adopt – bring the whole family!
- If you’re thinking of adopting an adult dog, we recommend bringing any current dogs in your home for a meet and greet, as well.
- Be prepared to wait – these events always have high turnout and from start to finish the adoption process can take up to three hours.
