KATSEYE began as a six-member global pop group after Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae Jeung earned their places through the 2023 competition Dream Academy. The final lineup was revealed in November 2023, setting the stage for the group’s official debut the following year.
More recently, the lineup has temporarily changed. In February 2026, an official announcement confirmed that Manon would step away from group activities to focus on her health and well-being. The remaining members continued scheduled appearances without her.
Another change came on August 7, when Sophia announced a temporary hiatus to prioritize her mental health and wellness following medical advice. Her condition is expected to be reassessed in September, while KATSEYE continues promotional activities.
Despite the temporary absences, KATSEYE officially remains a six-member group. Their journey from a competitive training program to an international pop act has now entered a period where member health is shaping how the group handles its schedule and public appearances.
