INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana is sending more than $130 million to state and local road programs to replace revenue lost during the state’s gas tax suspension.
The State Board of Finance approved three transfers totaling over $ 130 million from the existing State Highway Fund balance.
About $58 million will go to local road funding, while the rest will return to the State Highway Fund and INDOT. Local governments are expected to receive the money within two to three days.
