Jhené Aiko is preparing to return with her fourth studio album, Westside Whimsy, set for release on September 11, 2026. In a September 8 announcement, the singer revealed the project’s title and cover artwork, which features Aiko with crystal-like tears across her face.
The announcement confirms her first full studio album since Chilombo arrived in March 2020. In recent months, Aiko has shared details about the influences behind the new project, pointing to 1990s music, California culture, West Coast car culture, surfing, beaches and road trips as part of its creative backdrop.
The Westside Whimsy name had already surfaced earlier in 2026 through projects connected with the singer, giving fans an early indication of the direction she was developing.
A full tracklist and details about possible featured artists had not been announced at the time of the reveal. Aiko’s previous album, Chilombo, reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and received three Grammy nominations.
