INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s Supreme Court is in no hurry to hear the argument over Indiana’s governor’s emergency powers.
On Wednesday, the court said it will hear a challenge to the new state law that limits some of what the governor can do in an emergency situation, but not until April.
Lawmakers approved the law back in the spring and have been fighting with the governor about it ever since.
Lawmakers say they simply want a say in how the governor manages state resources during the next pandemic or other emergency.
