
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – School leaders in one Fort Wayne-area school district are asking for guidance on a new quarantine policy.
The Southwest Allen County Schools Board this week changed the rules so that students in close contact with someone who tests positive for the coronavirus don’t have to miss school if both people were wearing masks.
Superintendent Park Ginder says that’s different from the state of Indiana’s quarantine policy.
On Wednesday, Allen County’s Health Department suggested the policy is unenforceable. The school board is now going to its lawyer for help.
