FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police have released footage of a person they believe shot and killed a woman on Saturday.
She was found on the city’s southeast side Saturday night at Fairfax and Standish after police say she was kidnapped from her home.
Fort Wayne police released the following Monday morning:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is in need of the community’s help to provide information regarding Saturday’s homicide of a mother kidnapped from her home and murdered in her vehicle just blocks from her residence.
The victim was home with her two children, when the suspect, dressed in all black, forced his way into their home on Standish Drive with a short-barreled rifle and a black backpack at approximately 5:15 p.m.
After threatening to kill the victim and her children, the suspect kidnapped the victim and forced her to drive him away in her SUV and shot her to death just 4 blocks from her home, firing approximately 30 rifle rounds into her vehicle.
The suspect then ran westbound from Standish Drive in the 2100 block Fairfax Avenue.
