FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department says that a local church suffered moderate to heavy smoke, fire, and water damage after a fire on Friday. Crews were called to the Three Rivers Worship Center on Curdes Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
The FWFD says it took about 30 minutes to extinguish, but added that no one was inside, and no injuries were reported.

FWFD was dispatched to the above location for a reported Church on fire. BC10 arrived to find smoke and fire from East Gable area of a small church structure. There was also a large amount of smoke pushing out of numerous locations in sanctuary.
Several crews entered the structure and made a quick knock on the fire. Crews also went to the roof to ventilate and prevent further spread of fire. Search of structure found no one inside. Fire is under investigation.
Several crews stayed to overhaul and make sure no further fire damage occurred. FWFD was assisted by TRAA, FWPD, Neighborhood code and AEP. No Injuries occurred.
