FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The two people who were killed in a six-vehicle pileup on Interstate 69 in Fort Wayne have been identified.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office says 70-year-old Bradley Maller of Kokomo and driver’s education student Drew Saddington of Fort Wayne died from blunt impact injuries. Saddington was just 15-years-old. A semi crashed into two stopped vehicles in a construction zone, sending one into a ditch and the other into another semi, causing the semi to hit another vehicle from behind.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified and made notifications to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was involved in a motor vehicle crash in the area of Southbound Interstate 69 at mile marker 294.9, Roanoke, Allen County, Indiana, at about 13:53 hours, Wednesday, June 03, 2026. He has been positively identified as Drew Stephen Saddington, male, White, age 15, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
Drew Stephen Saddington’s Cause of Death is Blunt Impact Injuries of Head due to Motor Vehicle versus Semi-Tractor-Trailer-Rig Crash. Drew Stephen Saddington’s Manner of Death is Accident.
Drew Stephen Saddington is the 15th traffic fatality for Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Indiana State Police, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says that two people have lost their lives in a six-vehicle pileup on southbound Interstate 69 in Fort Wayne. The crash between three semis and three passenger vehicles happened just before 2 p.m., and the southbound lanes of I-69 close to the 295-mile marker were closed for about eight hours.
One semi crashed into two stopped vehicles from behind, sending one into a ditch and the other into another semi. Both drivers of those passenger vehicles died at the scene, and a third passenger vehicle was hit from behind, going into the back of a third semi.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On June 3, 2026, at approximately 1:54 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of I-69 southbound, near the 295 mile marker, for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple vehicles involved in a rear-end crash, including three passenger cars and three semi trucks.
A preliminary investigation indicates southbound semi truck #1 rear-ended passenger car #1, who was stopped in traffic. Semi truck #1 continued and rear-ended passenger car #2, forcing passenger car #2 off the roadway to the West. Semi truck #1 rear-ended semi truck #2, causing semi-truck #2 to rear end passenger car #3. Passenger car #3 was forced southbound and rear-ended semi truck #3.
Driver’s of passenger car #1 and passenger car #2 were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of semi truck #1 was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
