FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is advising the public of road closures related to the Fourth of July Parade.
Calhoun Street will be closed from Oakdale Drive to Superior Street beginning at 8:00 a.m. The closure is expected to remain in place until approximately 12:00 p.m.
All side streets that feed into Calhoun Street along the parade route will also be closed during this time.
Jefferson Boulevard and Washington Boulevard will remain open for eastbound and westbound traffic until 9:00 a.m. At that time, both streets will be closed at Calhoun Street and will remain closed until approximately 12:00 p.m., or until the final parade entry has passed through the area.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when traveling near downtown Fort Wayne during the parade.
The Fort Wayne Police Department appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to keep the parade route safe for participants, spectators, and motorists.
