FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Fort Wayne is demanding that a hospital and a treatment center in Indianapolis stop sending homeless people to the area.
Cease and desist letters say two men from a mental health hospital and another from an addiction center were brought from Indianapolis to The Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne.
The Fort Wayne city council in March unanimously approved an ordinance banning the relocation of homeless people from outside the city into the Summit City with a few exceptions.
