INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh District has ruled Planned Parenthood can refer Indiana abortion patients to states where the procedure remains legal.
The three-judge panel ruled that providing factual information on abortions along with referrals for them is protected by the First Amendment.
Planned Parenthood’s Greater Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky chapter CEO and president Rebecca Gibron says Indiana has tried for years to make it harder for people to get information on abortion and their personal health care.
She says they are “relieved that we can continue helping all our patients understand their options and find legal care.”
