INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Sales of Indiana’s “blackout” license plates have brought the state $13 million in revenue.
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles says over 380,000 of the black and white plates have been sold in the past year.
The Office of Governor Mike Braun says the money will be used toward a five-year modernization plan for the BMV.
Braun says “Hoosiers clearly like the blackout plate, and its success is helping us build a better BMV.”
